I have read a dozen books thus far this year and going and most of them havesome kind of subscription service to sell. At first it was exciting but then when you read books that sell you one service per chapter then it becomes annoying. Aside from this paid subscription is great to reduce research time and increase performance (you can't possible read everything everyday by yourself).
There are alot of them and they cost an arm and a leg.
http://www.zacks.com/ - popular paid service. has simple ones (cheap) and +1000$/year for specific service. good for general information.
http://www.stockcharts.com/ - 1 month only is enough. Murphy or editor just explainsfew charts every day. You can do that after month, all textbook stuff. Theydon't do stock picks.
http://www.jonmarkman.com/ - current member less than $400 for two years, daily analysis with 6 month picks, special picks (stock or options), long term picks. It's called strategic Advantage it's very cheap compared to the day trader service he has.
http://www.taipanpublishinggroup.com/ (that book mentioned above was sell each of their services). All very exansive (above 1000$ or close per year)
http://www.tipstraders.com/ - shows picks from pros like above. Sounds good. For example it show jonmarkman's picks. If anyone used this before tell us more.
http://www.gurufocus.com/ - 249$/year - give you big name fund manager picks, real-time pick. sounds good but haven't used the paid one. free one is delayed by a quarter but has some good stuff.
There are alot of them. Please share your experience. Also tip of the day. Alot of books have web site recommendation (or services). If you are bored usually just skip to that section of the section in a bookstore. Pros/Gurus use online services for information so don't limit yourself.
